ARC FLASH/SHOCK/ELECTRICAL SAFE WORK PRACTICES

Who Would Benefit From This Course

 

Our Arc Flash and Electrical Safety Training course is designed for workers who may be exposed to energized electrical equipment and live conductors. This includes electricians, property managers, millwrights, maintenance staff, supervisors, health and safety professionals, Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) members, and health and safety representatives.


This in-class training provides essential knowledge on recognizing electrical hazards and applying safe work practices to prevent incidents such as electrical shock, burns, and arc flash explosions.


What You’ll Learn

  • Overview of applicable legislation and workplace safety regulations
  • In-depth review of CSA Standard Z462-18 and NFPA 70E requirements
  • Understanding the dangers of electrical shock, burns, and arc flash hazards
  • Common causes and risk factors of electrical incidents
  • Proper selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Engineering controls and safe work procedures
  • Emergency response steps for electrical shock, burns, and arc flash incidents


If available prior to the session, company- or client-specific electrical safety procedures will be incorporated to align the training with your workplace requirements.
